This rare hot variety comes from Seed Savers Exchange. It has been grown in Mississippi for more than 100 years. Two-inch-long, tapered, fire-engine red peppers are borne erect on 2-foot plants. They are traditionally used to make Rooster Pepper Sausage. They are also excellent dried and ground for chili powder. This variety is ideal for container growing.
